Pottery that saves lives
As a disabled veteran and graduate of K9s for Warriors, I can attest to the huge impact my service dog Chewie has had on my life. I am now able to see past my daily struggles, and look forward to the future.
Prior to receiving Chewie from K9s for Warriors, pottery was my lifeline. I used it as a way to feel productive and create something useful from nothing, while also keeping my mind off of the pain. I am so happy to now be able to use my pottery to help other veterans like myself, and donate a portion of each sale to K9s for Warriors.
Unfortunately, each day, nearly 22 veterans turn to suicide to escape the pain and horrors of PTSD. Support and resources are desperately needed to help "catch" these 22 brave souls from slipping through the cracks. K9s For Warriors is stepping up to break this tragic cycle by pairing veterans with highly-trained, life-changing service dogs. By rescuing and training dogs from high-kill shelters, K9s for Warriors doesn't just save one life, but two.
